Final recap. My thoughts

This season didn't end very well. I was really hoping that Santana would come out in the last episode. It would have made the season finale even better. I really don't agree with how Quinn feels about popular girls. They shouldn't get everything they want just because they are popular. Quinn was trying to do everything that she could to be the most popular girl in school and I am happy that she didn't get what she wanted. I was a little disappointed when Will decided not to go on Broadway. He would have had an amazing time and the kids would have been on summer holiday anyway. He gives up a lot for these kids and it's nice that they appreciate it. I am really happy for Kurt. He has gone almost two seasons without a boyfriend and then he met Blaine, who is an amazing guy and treats Kurt very well. I thought it was really cute when he told Kurt he loved him. I could tell that Kurt was pretty happy about it too. I'm not sure how well Mercedes and Sam are going to be together but it will sure be interesting. I am very much looking forward to the new season and can't wait to see more.

Commercial Analysis

This Chevy commercial uses the Glee cast to appeal to authority. The Glee kids are extremely excited that they are getting free cars which might show to people that this is the best vehicle. The commercial say “performance is sweeter, and life is completed in a Chevrolet". They are trying to say that owning this vehicle will better your life. They also use repetition and a catchy song so that it gets stuck in your head. Some persuasive words and better, deal, Chevy runs deep. I would not buy this product because I am more of a Chrysler or Dodge person. They use the color white to show that it is pure and innocent. There is also sex appeal with some of the girls wearing little outfits. This appeals to Ethos because it uses known characters.

Glee has finally made it New York. Everyone is very excited but Finn reminds everyone that that they still have songs to write. Mr. Schuster puts them on lockdown until they have finished the songs.

When Brittany’s original song “My Cup” fails to impress, Quinn wants to break the lockdown and seek inspiration in the city: “We don’t need to write songs for Nationals – New York’s going to write them for us.” The students hit the streets to explore, singing Madonna’s “I Love New York” and “New York New York” from the classic musical “On the Town.”

As the girls have a wild pillow fight, Rachel gets a text from Finn, asking her to meet him at Central Park’s Bow Bridge. Meanwhile, Will takes to a stage in an empty theater as he waits for April Rhodes.

Rachel arrives at Bow Bridge, where Finn hands her a bouquet and tells her that they’re off on a “work date.” They dine at Sardi’s, where Rachel spots Broadway legend Patti LuPone. They walk the city’s streets, and when Rachel mentions that all they need is a street choir to serenade them, the New Directions boys appear to sing “Bella Notte”. Finn leans in to kiss her, but she tells him she can’t and walks off.

The next morning, Kurt and Rachel slip away for a breakfast at Tiffany’s, where they both agree they’ll return to New York for college after graduation. Rachel worries that Finn wants to get back together and she does too, but he won’t follow her as she pursues her dreams. Seeking inspiration standing outside the “Wicked” theater, Kurt decides that they MUST sneak inside. They’re quickly discovered by a sharp-eyed usher and gives them 15 minutes to fulfill their fantasy on the “Wicked” stage. Emotional, Rachel tells Kurt she realizes she doesn’t have to choose between the stage and true love, because for her they’re one and the same.

Back at the hotel, Will encounters his nemesis, Vocal Adrenaline coach Dustin Goolsby, who reveals that Will’s bid for onstage success is “all over the Broadway blog-osphere.” Dustin advises Will not to let his students know about his plans so as not to lower their confidence.

As Nationals kick off, Will confronts Dustin who’s buying consoling t-shirts for his competition and promises that New Directions will kick Vocal Adrenaline’s butts. Then Will purchases a t-shirt to send to Dustin after they win.

Just before going on, Rachel congratulates Finn on his original song, but he’s confused as to why she’s not taking him back. Rachel tells him she is interested, but she can’t let anything hold her back from pursuing her New York dreams: she loves him, but he can’t change her mind.

New Directions takes the stage, where Rachel and Finn sing his song “Pretending,” pouring out their true emotions in song and ending with a kiss that leaves the audience in stunned silence. The show choir then launches into their second original number, the energetic “Light up the World,” which gives everyone a turn in the spotlight.

Finn and Rachel are amazed at the success of the routine and the kiss, which Finn calls “the kiss of the century.” Jessie appears to disagree, however, calling the intimate moment unprofessional and insisting that the judges won’t like it: it will cost them Nationals. Jessie says he’s there for Rachel, and Finn tells him to back off, calling him jealous because their feelings were able to move the audience: “It was the Superman of kisses, it should have its own cape.” The list of the Top 10 finalists is posted, but Will and the students are stunned to discover that they didn’t make the cut.

Back in Lima, Kurt recounts the fallout for Blaine at the coffee shop: most of the New Directions members were outraged and/or crushed by the outcome, but Blaine notices that Kurt doesn’t seem too upset: Kurt admits that he was thrilled just to have the experience, and Blaine tells him he loves him. Taken aback but thrilled, Kurt tells Blaine he loves him too, adding, “When you think about it, Kurt has a pretty good year.”

This was not Glee's finest episode, although some may disagree. I didn't find the songs very good and it wasn't a very memorable or mind blowing season finale. I would have liked if there were some more amazing moments in this episode.

Glee Season 2 episode 21

So, Sue does have a heart. And can cry. And can do half-apologies.
Sue’s sister, Jean, died from pneumonia. She passed away in her sleep. Sue wants to be left alone, and is taking it out on her students. Sue wants Terri to stop New Directions from getting to New York for Nationals. They reroute them to Tripoli. Sue even kicks Becky off of the Cheerios. Now, Becky and her mom begs Will for her to join the choir, but Will says no.

Glee brings on Jesse St. James, as show-choir consultant. New Directions doesn’t trust him, especially Finn. Jesse makes fun of Finn’s singing and dancing say it is like “a zombie who has to poop.”Jesse wants New Directions to scrap what it was doing before and does something that will make them win. He wants people to audition to be the lead performer, from which to build a winning set list upon for Nationals.

First up is Santana, performing Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. Jesse says, it did “go deep into the emotional truth of the song.”

Next is Kurt singing “Some People,” from the musical “Gypsy.” He owns this genre and his ugly outfit. Jesse says that Kurt can't fill the heels of Ethel Merman, Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters.

Then Mercedes tries her hand at an old Otis Redding classic, “Try a Little Tenderness.” It started off slow and then gradually blew up. But Jesse says she’s not a star and questions how many times she’s practiced that song. She lacks choreography, he says. Still, no one can question her natural talent.

But when Rachel took over the stage, she shines in “My Man” by Barbra Streisand, as performed in Rachel’s favorite movie “Funny Girl.” While she sings, she imagines Finn, her first and only love. Not Jesse, who questions whom she’s singing to. Her rendition was both heartbreaking, and a teary performance. Kurt says "Brava". Jesse says it was brilliant. Santana calls McKinley Idol competition rigged.

At the end, Will wasn’t convinced that the competition was healthy and wasn’t good for group dynamics as the club heads to Nationals. So, he tells them to go back and make original songs for New York.

Meanwhile, Finn and Kurt bought flowers and teddy bears to comfort Sue. She’s suspicious. She doesn’t know how to deal with grief. She says she’s the meanest of the sisters and she doesn’t know why she didn’t die first. She can’t go through her sister’s things or plan a funeral. So, they and the rest of Glee help her.

They dedicate a beautifully sung “Pure Imagination” from Jean’s favorite movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at the funeral. Sue cries and wasn’t able to finish her eulogy. Will takes over to recite the words she wrote:

“I remember Jean. I remember a life lived with no enemies, no regrets. … I feel like a part of me has been ripped off … I want 10 more seconds to hold her … I love you Jeannie, rest in peace.”

Following the funeral Finn breaks up with Quinn. Quinn realizes that Finn is still in love with Rachel and storms away.

Glee Season 2 episode 14

It is Alcohol Awareness week on Glee. While the school is trying to promote not drinking, the Glee club is doing a little experimenting.

Rachel wants to become a great song writer like Joni Mitchell, but her first attempt sucks. She wrote a song about her headband. Finn tells her she needs to live a little. So she has a party to try to loosen up. The whole Glee club comes including Blaine and Kurt.

At first the party is awful. Rachel’s high strung ways are too lame for her friends. Before they can leave, Rachel lets Puck break into her dad’s alcohol cabinet and the booze gets flowing. They go wild. Santana is crying, Brittany is dancing on tables and Rachel is all over sober Finn. They even play spin the bottle where Rachel and Blaine end up in a long kiss. The kiss is too long for Kurt’s comfort. Blaine and Rachel sing “Don’t You Want Me”.

Blaine wakes up in Kurt’s bed (nothing happened). The rest of the Glee kids arrive at school very hungover. Artie has the cure to their pain: Bloody Marys. He convinces them to keep drinking to avoid a hangover. They sing “Blame It On The Alcohol” for Mr. Schuester while drunk hoping it will be the song for the assembly. Will tells them the song encourages alcohol.

Will feels bad because he drank when he was their age. He’s clearly stressed over everything. To loosen up, Coach Beiste takes him out to a country bar where the teachers get very drunk. They sing “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” together. Will goes home and grades tests drunk and drunk dials someone. He though he called Emma, but he’s very wrong.

Kurt has his own problems. After their kiss Rachel and Blaine seem to think they might have chemistry. Kurt is heartbroken and very jealous. Blaine tries to explain that he’s confused, but Kurt is angry, jealous and a little rude. Blaine was there for him and now Kurt won’t help his friend because he has a crush on him.

The Glee club’s drinking hits rock bottom at the assembly. To stop their nerves they drink a concoction including scotch, brandy, and who knows what else. They sing “Tik Tok” for the school led by Brittany. It was going great until Brittany suddenly threw up on Rachel and then Santana threw up too.

The next day, Sue gets a hold of the microphone and humiliates Will. Will called Sue when he was drunk and left a hilarious message on her machine, which Sue proceeded to play for the whole school.

The best part is the Principal doesn’t realize they were really drunk. He applauds the kids for teaching the students a lesson about drinking. Will knows better. He and the kids sign a pledge to not drink until after Nationals. He gives them his cell phone in case they ever get in trouble drinking.

Finally Kurt and Rachel have the big Blaine show down. Is Blaine gay? Rachel rushes up to Blaine at the coffee shop and plants a kiss on him to find out the truth. Blaine is gay. Rachel isn’t upset though, because now she has something to write a song about.

Glee season 2 episode 19

Finally Glee made some new episodes. I am a little behind on my blogging so I am going to skip right up to the episode that is the freshest in my mind and that would be the Rumors episode. This episode wasn't the best that they have ever made but it was still good.

Sue is still convinced that she can bring will down and is pulling out her next weapon, Will's ex wife Terri. Terri's big plan is to get April back in town so she draws Will away from the glee club with the idea of going to Broadway with her. In the end Will just isn’t willing to leave the kids and Emma.

Artie and Brittany break up after a fight about Santana. Brittany still doesn't realize that Santana isn't ready to be there for her. Brittany tries to help Santana come out with her but at the last minute Santana ditches and leaves Brittany interviewing her cat.

Finn has his own relationship problems. When he stakes out a motel with Rachel he see’s Kurt leaving with Sam, not Quinn. They also see Quinn coming out. Quinn notices there little secret bringing them together and tells Finn that as long as they are together he is not allowed to sing with Rachel. Rachel turns it around by singing “Go Your Own Way” to Finn.

After a bit of a blow up, Sam admits what’s really going on. His dad lost his job and house and his family is living in the motel. Quinn and Kurt were just helping. Sam doesn’t know what to do, but they convince him to stay in Glee because he needs the music now more than ever.

The show ends in the regular New Directions group singalong. Sam brings his little brother and sister to practice so they can sing “Don’t Stop” all together. It’s a happy end to a fairly dramatic and serious Glee episode.

Glee

So for some reason Glee has just stopped making new episodes even though it's not the end of the season yet. It is kinda difficult to do a blog about there episodes when they don't make a new episode for me to watch. I'm not very impressed about this. I guess I will just keep waiting for the new episode to come out. I am really looking forward to the new episode.

Glee Episode 16 season 2

In this episode the kids are going to regionals. They were going to use a song that was already written and a hit song. Sue told Will that he doesn't have permission to use the song and he has to come up with a new idea. Rachel gives the glee club an idea that they should make original songs and everyone presents there songs. No one can agree on a song so they decide to join together and create a song about being bullied by everyone in the school. In the end Rachel sings a solo to prove to Finn that she still loves him and wants to have another chance. Finn starts having feelings for Rachel again and it pisses of Quinn. Quinn starts to notice that maybe using Finn to be the most popular person in school. The new directions singing group wins regionals and it makes Sue very mad, so mad that she knocks out the lady that announced the winner.

Glee - season 2, episode 5

Today I watched Glee. The theme was Rocky Horror Film. They reason Will decided to do this was because he figured out Emma's love for the production. He wanted to get closer to her. It was a very fun show. Some of the students didn't feel comfortable in their costumes because they were a little risque. Finn isn't comfortable showing off his costume which is him in his underwear. The Glee class teacher (Will) had to change his show in order to make the students more comfortable. In the end they were told that they could not do the show for an audience but they ended up doing the show for themselves and it was fantastic! I really enjoyed this episode. The kids made the Beast quit because Will told them that when they are with their partners and they need to "cool down" they think of her in underwear. She was very offended. The boys felt very bad and sang a song to her trying to convince her to stay, it worked.

Jersey Shore March 25 Season 3 Episode 12

Connie, Ronnie’s mother, calls and gets Deena on the phone and starts mumbling drunkenly “I’m tan. I am tan. So tan I look Indian.” “That’s awesome,” Deena tells her, and then passes the phone to Jenni. Connie starts telling Jenni how upset she is about the problems Ronnie and Sammi had in Miami, which prompts Jenni to pass the phone off to Mike "The Situation". The Situation, because he’s The Situation, decides to spill the beans about Arvin (who is the guy that Sammi was texting) to Connie. He’s on the phone with her for half an hour, and then tells her he’ll have Ronnie call her. “Wow,” The Situation says, “Ronnie’s mom’s gangsta.” Sam finds out that Mike told Ron's mom from Jenni and Runs to Ron to tell him. Connie calls back and Ron tells her that she is embarrassing herself and the family. Ron hangs up on his mom and goes out side where Mike is. Mike starts feeding into the whole thing saying that Sammi is just messing with him and that Sammi made out with the kid. The episode ends with Mike calling Arvin and asking him what happened between him and Sammi. Arvin tells Mike then repeats to Ron that he made out with Sammi.
Vinni and Pauly bring home some grenades but the one girl's brother shows up and "just wants to hang out" the roommates find this weird and kick the girls and the strange guy out. When walking out the guy starts looking around the house. I'm think he watches the show and just wanted to be able to say that he had been there.

Jersey Shore March 17, Season 3 Episode 11

Last Thursday the episode started off with Sam coming back to the house. Later on they went to Karma and Ron was hanging all over her. Sam and Ron got drunk and for a minute Sam let her guard down and let Ron kiss her. This led to them cuddling and holding hands. Their love for each other takes a sudden turn for the worst when Mike finds out from a buddy at Karma that Sam had texted him to meet her there and that the two of them had been talking the whole time she was home. Mike tells the whole house and even has the texts to prove it but Sam still denies it and says they were just friends. This all ends with Ron telling Sam to go back home and both of them screaming at each other. I hope Ron is done with her now.
Vinny and Pauly go for a trip to Staten Island to have supper with Vinny's family. While they are gone everyone in the house leaves sleeping Mike behind. Mike wakes up mad and lets the dogs out making it look like they escaped. He lets them poop and pee all over the place and feeds them a bunch of junk and food out of the garbage. When the girls come home they notice the dogs out but Mike is nowhere to be found. They go "wake up" Mike and ask him what happened but he denies letting them out. Snooky picks up one of the dogs and notices that it smells exactly like Mikes cologne.
Vinny is sick of being called the white one so the girls convince him to go get a spray tan. It was very funny to watch. At first he told the girl to make him black which scared me but then he said he was just kidding.
The group decides to go to the aquarium and got a visit from a very cute penguin. What kind of animal is a penguin, the educator asks. "A mammal," Sam says. Oops! They're birds. "That's what I thought."
After they go to Jenkinson's, here the girls think they found a bunch of gorilla juice heads but when the boys come closer they realize that they aren't as good looking as they first thought. On the way home Jenni is driving and they notice her man driving beside them. The boys claim they saw a girl with him which leads to Jenni sending him a mean phone message. Ends up he didn't have a girl with him and he was on his way to get a haircut.
The best part of the episode is the water fight that the group has, everyone was happy and it was a lot of fun for them. Snooky ended up getting thrown into the hot tub.

Jersey Shore March 3, season 3 episode 10

Last night on Jersey Shore Sam came back to the shore house. Ron didn't seem happy about it at the start but later on in the night he was complimenting Sam and telling her that he was happy she came back. Ron, Deena and Snooki decided to get Mike back for his little pranks by putting different kinds of cheese under his bed sheets. He later admitted that the girl he brought home smelled like cheese and she had to send her home. Snooki is starting to have feelings for Vinny and when she got drunk she cried hysterically over the fact that he brought another girl home. They finally decided to call a plumber to fix the girls bathroom later to find out that the reason it was plugged was because one of the boys tried to flush a shirt down the toilet.
